One of the things we loved about the ancient city was the monuments and statues preserved along the streets of Rome. Just gonna share our photos from our night walk along the road, Via dei Fori Imperiali, on 11th March 2019.
The Terrazza delle Quadrighe was magnificent and glorious with all the illuminating lights, like wow.... just look how epic it is!
These may appear to be just pillars but when you see it in reality, they're hugeeeeee! And the way they were placed and how they were designed, it makes you wonder how did the Romans do it with their limited technology and tools, ya know. This area was the Forum of Caesar!
This magnificent glowed up area was the Trajan's Market, a restored Roman city forum complex. It was closed off to the public but imagine walking through these archways in sandals 😮
This part of the ruins was the Forum of Augustus, the remains of an imperial structure from 20 BC. Woah! That was 2000 years ago.
Ooft, these sites were spectacular. We highly recommend walking along this road, day or night, to get some ancient sight seeing done! At the end of Via dei Fori Imperiali is the famous Colosseum, the gladiator arena.
Thanks for browsing through. Ciao!
