In 2017, for our 3rd anniversary, we had lunch at Chiswick Restaurant Woollahra, one of the restaurants owned by Matt Moran. I'm reuploading photos from our instagram/facebook because I may have lost the original file and I also need a virtual memory in the archives🧠.
The start of an amazing friendship between us and oysters at fancy restaurants.... These were one of our first 'half-a-dozen oysters on rocks with vinaigrette' and we do not regret going down this food journey.
This was a beef tartare with potato chips and from memory, this was sooo good. There were a lot more peppers and sugar, compared to the Korean tartare. I remember we gobbled this dish down really fast and wanted to order another 😂
This was salmon with roasted vegetables. I was obsessed with the baby carrots because they were so juicy and sweet.
This was a grilled piece of fish and that is as much information as I can give you because my memory is so bad HAHAHA. If we did not have this photo, I would have forgotten about the dish completely.
Ahh! I remember this magnificent dish. This was the Chiswick special slow-roasted lamb shoulder with caponata and mint salsa. It was huge and savoury. The meat was tender and pulled off the bone with minimal effort. The salsa had a very unique kick and tasted very fresh. We shared this between the five of us, on our second visit, and we still could not finish it.
This was a delicious banana mousse dessert with banana chips. It was really creamy and good but unfortunately, I do not see it on the menu right now.
