The Pantheon is a 43 metre tall structure, built in 113 AD. Located in the ancient city of Rome, Italy, the Pantheon stands beautifully in the middle of the city. After leaving our hotel, we saw a long line and realised entry was free on Sunday 9th of March 2019 so we joined the queue to explore the inside of the church.
There was a large hole at the top of the dome, letting in light and rain. It was really fascinating to see how tall the dome was and how the Romans built this two thousand years ago.
There are 22 holes drilled into the interior tiled floor that drains the water away during a rainfall. We thought this was cool haha.
Ending the post with a night shot of the Pantheon from the night I had food poisoning and we could only eat 1 minute away from our hotel LOL. Thanks for passing through.
